I found this one at The Book Nut!

1. What is the last book adaptation movie you saw?

It’s from the book The Last Letter From Your Lover by Jojo Moyes. It’s a pretty good movie!

2. What book movie are you most excited for?

Infinite, based on The Resurrectionist Papers by D. Eric Maikranz. It releases on 24 September.

3. Which upcoming book movie will you definitely NOT see?

The Power of the Dog, based on the novel of the same name by Thomas Savage. Just doesn’t appeal to me, I guess.

4. Which book movie would you NEVER watch again?

I wanted to love it… but I hated it SOOO much. The books were great. This was… not.

5. Is there a movie you saw that made you want to read the book, if you hadn’t yet?

Two, actually. Nerve by Jeanne Ryan and The DUFF by Kody Keplinger. The movie Nerve was so much better than the book, in my opinion. The book for The Duff was a lot darker and there were definite differences in the movie. I loved the movie, but I wish more of the dark parts were in it. Conversely, I loved the book, but I wish the changes in the movie had been in the book.

6. Conversely, is there a movie that made you never want to read the book?

Gone Girl. I just couldn’t get into the movie AT ALL. I still haven’t read the book.

7. Name an adaptation that has almost nothing to do with the book it’s supposedly based on.

That would be Eragon by Christopher Paolini. The book was so good, as is the whole series, but that was just completely off.

8. Have you ever left the theater during a movie adaptation because it was so bad?

No.

9. Do you prefer to watch the movie first or read the book first?

When I know there’s a book, book first.

10. How do you feel about movie adaptations that age characters up? (ex. characters that are in middle-school, but in the movies they’re all 18)

I think it depends on the movie and how it’s done.

11. Do you get angry when the actors don’t look like you thought the characters looked?

No.

12. Is there a movie you liked better than its book?

Nerve. Hands down.

13. Name a book that you would love to see as a movie.

The Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld. Goodnight Beautiful by Aimee Molloy. The Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena
