My book released YESTERDAY! This is my favorite book to date, dark and twisted! So I thought I’d share a little bit of that today! It was more than the absence of light that was disorienting. It was the total absence of anything at all. No light, no sound, no nothing. It was complete sensory […]
I’ve been reading these books virtually nonstop for the last 27 years. Yes, you read that right. And, yes, I am old. Okay, not that old. But I digress. At any given point, I might be reading other books, but there is always one of these that I am also reading. The Valdemar world was […]
I didn’t like being that girl. I didn’t like jumping to conclusions before having all the facts. But finding some bitch lounging on his couch with her boobs hanging out was hard to ignore. Holly, from Eclipsed Okay, so this is actually three lines. But I couldn’t use one without the others and still have […]
Let’s talk about romance novels! Sometimes it seems like romance is the most hotly contested genre out there. There are the naysayers, the ones that dismiss the entire genre. And, in my opinion, that is a travesty. Dismissing any genre, usually based on some preconceived (and often wrong) idea of what the genre is really […]
Today is National Grandparents Day, so I thought I’d share a couple of teasers starring Grandma Fiona of Kissing Frogs, my debut novel. She’s a fiesty witch, literally, whose magical skills sometimes are less than ideal. Grandma Fiona was inspired by a few Silver Goddesses. One was Baddie of Instagram fame, feisty and irreverent as […]
The crowd changed my name as I raced toward the goal, snow flying as my skates bit into the ice. -Sparrow, from Last Call Sparrow is one of my favorite characters I’ve written. She’s been through some stuff, but she doesn’t let it take her down. She’s secure in who she is and what she […]

I’ve been a die-hard hockey fan since I was little, the latest in a long family line of hockey fans. Clarkson University, the home of the Golden Knights, is in my hometown. They are a NCAA, Division I team that has always been prime recruiting ground for the NHL. Hockey is life in northern New […]

Today’s the day! I finally get to share the beautiful cover of my upcoming psychological thriller, Last Night. It was designed by Claire Smith for Tangled Tree Publishing, an imprint of Hot Tree Publishing. And here it is… And the paperback version is just as beautiful! So, what’s Last Night about? This is a different […]
There’s always talk of hard-space bookstores shutting down with the advent of e-books and online retail stores like Amazon. So, a new bookstore in Tokyo has taken a new approach in an attempt to keep the brick-and-mortar shop open. They are charging a cover charge. The minimally-styled Bunikitsu opened last December with their new bookstore […]
I can’t even imagine how many books I’ve read in my 25 **cough** 48 years. But there are some that stick with me, books that need to be read by everyone. This book rattled my entire world. The realism was terrifying, the knowledge that the world could so easily become what it was in the […]
