Night fell quickly, swallowing the last light of day in the blink of an eye. The sky darkened from a surreal deep purple into a vast expanse of ebony. Not a single star pricked through the inky darkness. Even the moon shied away from shining too brightly through the clouds that faded into the night sky.
They call it the city that never sleeps for a reason. It was never truly dark in New York City. A million neon lights shone through even the blackest of nights.
