Kissing Frogs…

My upcoming first release, I Kissed a Frog, is in the hand of two trusted readers.  That is the second draft of the novel and I am looking forward to getting it back and going through their suggestions and notes.  I have been in the world of the book for so long that I really need these other sets of eyes to look at it.

In the meantime, I have been working on two other projects.  One is a prequel to I Kissed a Frog, following the story of Finn before that book.  I’m about a quarter of the way through that and, I have to say, the research has been eclectic!  Some research strings…

  • Irish slang for “vomit”
  • prostitution around the world in the 17th and 18th centuries

My search history is somewhat bizarre, to say the least!

Writing backwards…

I found a cover the other day designed by Lonnie Rae Hebert of Cover Crush Designs that I fell in love with and had to have.  It is now mine.  The only problem with the cover?  I have no book to match it with!  So now I am writing one to go with this gorgeous cover that I will be sharing in the future.  That’s probably not the way it is supposed to go, but when you see a cover that just screams at you, you have to go for it!
