I’ve been busy in my writing cave! I finished the first and second drafts of One Stormy Night, the upcoming prequel to Kissing Frogs. Now it is in the hands of my two lovely beta readers! When they are done, it will be back to the writing cave to do what I need to do and then hopefully it will be off to my fantastic content editor Trenda of It’s Your Story Content Editing. I really loved writing this one, so I hope you will enjoy reading it! This is Finn’s story and I had fun weaving real history in with his tale. Even Rita Hayworth plays a part in his story! It started out as a novella, but it is now a full-length novel, although a bit shorter than Kissing Frogs.

I somehow found time to eke out a novella for the soon-to-be-released 25 Days of Christmas holiday anthology. The anthology will have 25 novellas from a wide variety of romance authors, all kinds of stories and themes to make your holiday season sassy, sweet and saucy!  My novella is called Camouflage Christmas. It centers around Addison Wood, a soldier in the US Army. She’s just come home from a long deployment and it hasn’t been a great year. She needs a break from all of the drama that she’s been through, a break from her life. The last thing she needs is any more entanglements. But sometimes, it’s when you stop looking that you finally find exactly what you need! This one was fun for me, writing from my own experiences as a soldier. It’s with the editor now and will be released on 1 December. Let me share the cover with you!

In other news, I’ve had a plot bunny chasing me around for a while now. I’ve wanted to write a book about synesthesia. The link explains it well, but in a nutshell… it’s when person has crossed or multiple sensory responses to stimuli. Like seeing letters in color, tasting sound, etc. I initially planned to write it as a dystopian novel. Then I thought of a great fantasy twist. Now my husband has thrown a third concept out there… high fantasy. I’m finishing up research now and I think I’m going to write it as part of NaNoWriMo. If I can decide which way to go by then!
