And now I can breathe! It’s been a rough month, so busy I thought my brain might explode. But as crazy as it was, it was good creatively. The book I started during NaNoWriMo, only about half completed, was inspired by a cover I bought a while ago. Midway through NaNoWriMo, I had a spark of inspiration that would change the entire underlying premise of the book. I loved it, but I was too far in to change it and still finish the month. So I wrote copious notes and brainstormed ways to incorporate my new thoughts without losing most of everything I’ve written. And I think I managed that, so that makes me happy.
Still working on massive rewrites on Kissing Frogs, after which I will send it through at least one more round of edits. Last Night has changed structure, but I didn’t have to rewrite anything, just added to it. I think the new alternating POV structure will make for a better read. I also came up with a new story idea that I am itching to write. But I have other things that have to come first so I’m feeding the monster with lots of research and planning!
2017 will be busy, I hope!
